LOCATIONS & NARRATIVE PLAN

Inside - glow sticks
Easy to get darker lighting without interruptions.

Ilfracombe Beach
Quiet area with no people in the background- highlights the loneliness as well as making the focus on the background and main character rather than the public.
Path
Gave a direct view of the sea and opportunities to test different angles and lighting with the sun. Clear sea with little distraction in the background. Holiday feel, bright and colourful.
Knole Park
Change in location for the second character- different background to the first. Easily accessible to second actor with a difference in scenery so that their distance is made clear.

Brighton
Good for shots of the sea that are more detailed and colorful- giving the area both an attractive look as well as showing the sea as industrialized and not so perfect.
Inside - Computer Screen
Used in the intro for the multiple browsers playing the music video.

Window view
Used for the intro as a background for the company logo.
Original Storyboard
Final / simplified Storyboard
- Two teenagers, long distance friendship. Focuses on one of them whilst they are on holiday- spending time talking to the other. Dance scenes feature in the chorus and involve the second character in a separate location. Second character is surrounded by friends to emphasise the first character's isolation from the group. Technology/Nature theme in the shots. The two finally meet at the end.

MOODBOARD
Within the dance music genre, usual themes are things such as pool parties and having fun, so a dance routine set somewhere like a beach where the dancers can be also enjoying themselves with beach games, inspiring scenery and generally having fun is something that would appeal to young audiences. The aspect of escapism alongside the holiday theme gives room for a wild and crazy atmosphere as well as multiple locations; party halls, beaches, transport and nighttime scenes, capturing 'memory' like film. Brightly coloured outfits, popular drinks and glowing lights or animations that fit a blue/red colour scheme would also conform to the expectations of the dance music genre. Different scenery gives an opening for quick shots centered around one or two main people whilst keeping it upbeat and exciting. The holiday and adventure aspect follows the 'feel-good' mood that the music video should give, providing the right setting for the narrative.
